I didn't end up using Jason (since his schedule and mine didn't work out), but I do want to leave a review for him, as I can tell that he's someone who really cares about his work.
He gave me a lot of tips over the phone on what to watch out for, and the typical behaviors and nesting seasons for the Wasp I got at my house. His attention to details really impressed me, and I can tell that if I did hire him (if his busy schedule did end up working for me), I'm sure he would have done an amazing job!

We had a ground wasp nest that Jason and his son quickly and completely removed. No more wasps! Jason answers his phone, gives timely responses, shows up when he says he's going to show up, and gets the job done! He responded the day I texted him, set up the appointment for the next day, and problem solved. Jason and his son are super nice and will take the time to answer any of your questions. Highly recommend him.

Humble Bee Removal is very helpful. We've got a bee situation on our hands but unfortunately out of service area.
Jason was kind & patient enough to point me in the right direction on who to contact, what to look for and possible next steps.

Jason and Zion came to our rescue! Within 24 hours of my husband's inquiry, Jason went up to our hot attic (it is high 80s today), found the yellow jacket nest above our master bedroom ceiling (underneath the insulation), sprayed it (see ya!) while Zion was on our roof vacuuming the little hole where the bees entered/exited.
The ultimate father/son team! We highly recommend them!
Small world, I found out Jason is also working with my July clients to make sure their wedding will be bee-free.

Jason Jason Jason...you are the bee whisperer! We woke up to find a MASSIVE honeybee hive in our mini palm tree! Thousands and thousands of bees swarming around everywhere, flying zigzag, some scary s--t. I am not a brave girl, terrified of insects and flying creatures, no Costa Rica is not a vacation destination for me. Camping? I don't see the point why we evolved to indoor civilization. I need my creature comforts and 1000 thread count sheets. There's a time and place for nature, and I don't need a beehive in my back pocket. It's Saturday morning when we stumble on this atrocity, and really I don't need honey so badly that I'm gonna chill. We call around to several pest management companies (our usual company doesn't offer weekend or emergency services), and make no mistake: this was a dire emergency. My husband called Humble Bee, and on the first ring, Jason answered. He was at his kids' soccer game in Half Moon Bay, and said the game had just finished, and he'd be at our house in 30 min. What?? I was besides myself with joy...any opportunity to rid myself of pests, I'll grab it and pay anything. He got to our house on the nose, got to work immediately, literally rolling around on our grass with nothing more than a face mask and gloves, in his street clothes. I was terrified that he was going to get bitten, but he was fearless and a total pro, a champ. Within another 30 minutes, he'd gotten the Queen bee and packaged up the entire hive to relocate the it to HMB. He's the sweetest, kindest, nicest and most down to earth guy who has a sincere and ardent passion for his work, his ethos for the environment, wanting to raise his bees. We were so incredibly grateful to him for coming within the hour and getting the job done pronto, we gave him a healthy tip. He'll forever be our go-to guy for anything bee related.

I called 3 bee specialists to address a yellow jacket nest in my bathroom wall. Although all 3 returned my initial call, Humble Bee Removal was the only company that followed through. The others never got back to me to confirm an appointment, but Jason and his son Zion called me within 10 mins, explained their services and cost structure, confirmed the appointment then gave me clear instruction on how to protect myself and my home until the appointment time. They also set up a text exchange to reconfirm the appointment and continued to check in on the status to ensure I wasn't in danger. When the arrived, they explained their process in further detail then got the job done within one hour. Customer service is key, especially in a situation like this and these guys have it down pat...plus they are great guys. If you have a bee issue, call Humble Bee Removal...they deliver!

Jason is a superhero. After my 4 year old nephew discovered 20-30 bees flying around a small exterior hole, I texted Jason and he responded right back. He had thrown out his back and still managed to come in 2 days, scope it out and came back later in the week to remove a European structural colony of bees which made its home in our brand newly remodeled home. He had to come cut into the interior ceiling of my living room, vacuum out the bees and remove the hive. The entire hive, with 3,000 honeybees was removed in 3 hours. He helped my husband move our furniture and taped up our walls and surfaces so it wouldn't be damaged. He's also a super nice guy. I told him that I hoped to see him again soon, but hopefully not because of bees. Maybe rooting for the warriors at a local sports bar? Thanks Jason!!!

Jason and Zion responded promptly to our call and were fantastic.
We had an underground yellow jacket nest between some bushes and their professional expertise helped in it's removal. They even came back a second time to ensure that the nest was completely treated. They advised us to wait 10-14 days and if we noticed any more activity, they were willing to come back again.
We were very happy with their service!

We had a yellow jacket nest right under our backyard concrete slab. The wasps were always buzzing around and my daughter and wife never felt comfortable going to the backyard. I called Jason in the morning and as luck would have it he was in the neighborhood that day and he said he will be able to come in the evening.
Jason worked really hard and diligently to get the bottom of the slab. It took him more than an hour to dig, vacuum and clear the location. Although he was not able to get to the nest, he soaked the hole with some insecticide and ensured no wasps were left. He assured that he will come back if we see wasp activity in the next couple of days or weeks.
Jason is very nice, hard working and prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to call him if I have to take care of any other wasp, bee and insect control.

Texted Jason about some aggressive wasps in my backyard at 8.30am, he responded within minutes and I had an appointment and a quote for that afternoon. He is courteous, knowledgeable and keeps time. Hopefully the wasps don't return, but if they do I will be calling him again!

This year we have had the worst infestation of yellow jackets in over 40 years. Based on his excellent Yelp recommendation, we called Jason who was able to come to our home within a few days. He thoroughly looked over our property (an acre) and located seven (7) nests, which he and his son promptly eliminated. He also gave us some excellent tips about when and where to place commercial bee traps, plus he threw in two special "feeding stations" to use when we have an outdoor party in our yard. Jason is extremely knowledgeable and friendly professional whom we can highly recommend.

Jason is just awesome. We had a wasp nest built up at home which scared my mom so much that we are trying to get it removed ASAP. We called up Jason and explained the situation. He showed great sympathy and was able to squeeze time to offer us an appointment the next day. He was onsite for 20 mins and took care of everything. He is also sharing a lot of useful tips with us so we can be better prepared in future.
Since his service we haven't got any additional wasp problem. I would recommend this gentleman to anyone any day.

Jason is very knowledgeable and friendly. He came on time and spent a long time getting the yellow jackets. He wore a protective suite and we can see the bees attacking the vacuum cleaner and some on him. Scary! Thank God we didn't spray the stuff ourselves because we saw hundreds of yellow jacket! It was under the A/C slab and underground! He said if the bees comes back then he will come back to fix it guarantee! Thank you Jason!!!

Jason came over the same afternoon at the end of his route to take a tiny little bitty wasp nest out of my mailbox (WHY MY MAILBOX, WASP, WHY) and was totally awesome to work with. He knocked a sizeable chunk off the service fee since it was such a tiny job, caught her alive and unharmed in a rubber glove and tied it off so he could relocate her to the woods, and gave me a 10-week bait for my yellow jacket trap.
He told me about the only time he's ever lost a colony to heat exhaustion, we traded stories about bee stings, and I told him about how horrifying Asian hornets are, and like honestly? Since when do you call an exterminator and have it end up being a fun experience? But it was, and if I ever have problems again I know exactly who I'm going to call. (PROTIP: it's Jason, fo' sho'.)

Jason and his son Zion removed a yellow jacket nest just outside our door above our deck. A week or two later, Jason came back to remove a second (more active) colony that was close to where he'd worked previously. He did this us on a day when he was experiencing back pain, and we deeply appreciate his help. Jason is a true pro; not only is he knowledgeable and thorough, he has great sympathy for what his customers are going through, as some of these situations are quite stressful. He's a very decent man who takes the time to do it right.

I called two Pest Control companies previously to remove a yellow jacket hive. The hive was located on the second story at the roof line. Also, it was the size of a basket ball. I described all the information to them. The first company never showed nor did they call. The second company arrived late and although I had described the situation in detail the exterminator said, "gee, I would have to suit up and bring a tall ladder!" Gee, isn't that their business?!! That company quoted me a BIG PRICE. Probably, they just didn't want to do the job.
Fortunately, I called HUMBLE BEE at 12:30pm and they came at 6:30pm (as the yellow jackets go into the hive overnight, and not active.) The HUMBLE BEE Men, Jason Jennings and his son, are true professionals. They do Live Honey Bee removal and relocation, and also Yellow Jacket eradication. They swiftly removed the hive in minutes! Amazing to witness real professionals in action dealing with a scary situation on a ladder with a hive of stinging insects! Impressive!

We quickly learned that the Bee Removal business is extremely cut throat, competitive and downright mean. This is certainly not the case with Jason's company Humble Bee Removal. Jason could not have been more accommodating, professional and reputable!
Jason was the only person to actually meet us and inspect the potential damage caused from a European Honey Bee invasion that occurred on July 5th, 2014. He gave us a free estimate and inspection. My wife and I unfortunately felt it was necessary to get other bee removal companies bids which was a drastic mistake.
One individual stated it would cost $125 to inspect! This was until I said his website stated free estimates. He then agreed to give us a free inspection.
He also stated without looking at the bee
infestation first hand that the cost would be a minimum $1,100.
In the meantime another large company stated our bee invasion, which had expanded from the rock pillar where the bees entered but also into our living room walls, would be very expensive to remove.
Both of the owners of these companies were emphatic that I should not use Jason.
I am writing this review to Emphatically Declare that Jason did a fantastic job performing a live bee removal from our living room walls. He was methodical in selecting the correct wall to remove and did not have to cut through the rock pillar that other companies had recommended. Totally unaware that the night before our scheduled appointment Jason was in ER with a venomous spider bite. Instead of delaying the bee removal he showed up on time and wore his very hot and protective clothing. His leg, where the spider had bitten him, had swelled to twice its size. I told him he needed to stop his job!
Not only did Jason completely eliminate our bee problem in 5 hours but never complained and also refused to say anything derogatory about the other two companies. Even after they literally defamed his name and reputation.
Jason Jennings, owner of Humble Bee Removal, could not have been more gracious, punctual and professional. My wife and I could not give him enough kudos and extraordinary compliments in solving our bee problem and eliminating some real anxiety!
Jason is the absolute best bee removal person in the Bay Area bar none!
